In this course, you will be introduced to the basic of saying hello, goodbye, introducing yourself as well as how to count and use dates and numbers. You will also learn about your target language alphabet and pronunciation, and gain a basic understanding of grammar and verbs. You will learn basic everyday conversation that you will need to eat, live, and get around in the target-language-speaking countries.
This course is designed to develop proficiency in the target language, including reading, writing, conversational skills, and cultural information about the target-language-speaking world. You will begin with a review of the target language instruction and continue with language study, including reading, writing, and conversational skills for basic communication; cultural and linguistic information. Prerequisite: Must have more than three years of study experience for your target language.
This course is designed to emphasize building proficiency and learning cultural information,
development of speaking and writing skills, including creative expression, work with higher-level text types, and the study of selected grammatical structures. Advanced study of topics may be in culture, related to films made in targeted language, history, cinema production, or other areas.
